Oftentimes Feel Tense- When you leave your house, you feel tension throughout your whole body. Near-constant tension is a major sign of anxiety. Some of you have been experiencing tension for so long that you don’t even notice when it happens. Anxious people find it more difficult to sit back and enjoy the present because of that constant tension.
Feelings of Dread- When you have anxiety, you expect the worst-case scenario on a regular basis, so it’s not uncommon for your perception to be skewed towards the negative side. You often feel uneasy. Feelings of happiness can be hard to come by when you’re an anxious person.
You Don’t Want to Leave The House- In your mind; chaos is what lies outside of your home. Having social anxiety is no easy picnic. You dread the idea of heading to the grocery store because you don’t want to have to strike up a conversation with the cashier, so you’ve convinced yourself that the only safe space is your home. It’s okay if you feel this way, but before it gets worse, try to seek treatment.
Insomnia Takes Over- If you find yourself tossing and turning at night because your brain just can’t shut off, you may have anxiety. Anxiety could be the reason why you stay up at night. Relaxing as you get into bed isn’t easy for you and that’s okay. It happens, but sleep is important and getting enough shut eye is necessary to being happy and healthy.
