How’s everyone feeling after setting their clocks forward this weekend for daylight savings time? Many people (myself included) feel sluggish and a little off center this morning – that one hour makes all the difference in the world! Although we may love the longer daylight and beautiful sunshine, losing that extra hour of sleep can take some getting used to. To help get your body back on track, here are ways to adjust to daylight savings time.
How to Adjust Your Body to Daylight Savings Time
- Try going to bed 15 minutes earlier than usual.
- Include more exercise.
- Get sunlight exposure first thing in the morning.
- Avoid bright lights in the evening to relax.
- Try eating dinner a little earlier so that your body will think that it is later.
Good news is, it takes approximately 2 days to feel back to normal after we spring forward for DST!
