How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Date

How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Gifts

It was reported last week that Pippa Middleton and fiance James Matthews had finally set a date for their highly anticipated wedding! Us Weekly reports that the couple will tie the knot May 20, 2017 and have already sent out save the dates to family and friends, according to a source. Princess Charlotte will reportedly serve as flower girl and Prince George will be a paige. Awww!!

Now don’t think I haven’t noticed, but so many of you are celebrating engagements via social media this holiday season. So how do you pick the perfect date for you and your mate? There are many different ways that people decide on the “perfect” day to marry and they include: holidays, sentimentality, price, and season.

Did you ever dream of saying “I do” on New Year’s Eve? Valentine’s Day? Christmas? A lot of people make plans for those special dates so you have to consider many things when choosing one of those popular days. Will people be willing to give up their holiday to celebrate your nuptials? Will potential guests already have plans? Even though these are important questions for any date, there are many people that may have traditions and commitments which may mean less RSVP’s than you’d like.

When it comes to sentimentality, you may wish to get married on the anniversary that you and your partner first met or on another equally as important date. The first thing to keep in mind is the venue you wish to book may not have that specific date. Work out what is more important, the venue or the very specific date? If you plan way in advance, you may be able to secure both!

Pricing is a very real concern when you have champagne dreams with a beef budget. Picking the off season may mean that you can have the wedding of your dreams at a price you can afford. Just make sure you consider things like hurricane season while planning. A lot of people will be committing to be there on your day but you can’t help a natural disaster!

Do you have a specific season in mind for when you’ll walk down the aisle? You should consider your location and what season they’re in because you will most likely have to make accommodations. Summers in Miami are extremely hot, so you may not want to be outdoors very long. If you choose winter in Chicago, you’ll want to limit your time outdoors.

Even though it’s sweet to want to pick a date that will be perfect for you, it’s best that you consider all of the above before sending out your save the dates. It’ll be a very special day, whether you’re royalty or not, and you don’t need one more thing to worry about!
