We’ve all been there. That long night out with the girls or a long day of travel after an incredible weekend away. Your skin feels parched for hydration, you’re just not looking your best and you need something to brighten up your gorgeous face! You’re feeling dull and tired and you could use a much-needed wake up. Turns out there’s more than what the label says behind the power of one of my favorite products: Lumière de Vie® Toner. We all love this product for it’s amazing suite of capabilities, but who knew it can perk tired skin right up too? Read on for some tried-and-true tips on how to recover after a long night.

#1. Here’s a tip (and, it’s one of my favorites because it’s so simple), if you’re skipping toner, you’re missing out on a huge benefit. Aside from prepping your skin and balancing your PH, just simply put your toner in the refrigerator overnight, so it’s nice and chilled. After your long night on the town or your big day of travel, grab two cotton pads. Soak the two cotton pads in the chilled toner, apply to your tired skin and be amazed at how refreshed you look and feel. Your skin will perk right back up! Doesn’t that sound amazing? And, so easy!

Lumière de Vie® Toner has a heap of other benefits – and, if it’s not already, toner should absolutely become part of your daily routine. But what about those other times when your skin is feeling tired and dull? What can you do to quickly breathe some life back into it? Here’s a few of my favorite tips for giving tired skin a jumpstart.

#2. Just like we did with the toner, throw your favorite makeup wipes in the fridge (these are my go-to’s). Once they’re nice and chilly, perk up by using one just before bed to get all the makeup and dirt off your face. Follow with the same routine in the morning and you’ll see that glow come back asap. You’ll feel great too!

#3. Use an exfoliating mask. Sometimes your skin really needs a good scrub. Buildup of tired, dead skin starts to make you appear dull and tired – and the only way to resolve that is to give the new skin a chance to shine through. You’ll be amazed as just how thankful your skin will be. My favorite exfoliator, especially for tired skin? Lumière de Vie® Volcanic Exfoliating Mask, it’s the best.

#4. Sometimes your whole body – your skin from head to toe – needs a bit of a wakeup and special treatment and that means giving it the love it deserves. Think about hopping into a steamy shower or soaking in the bath – add some Epsom salts and you’ve got yourself the perfect spa night in.

#5. Use your favorite full body exfoliator, making sure to pay special attention to dry spots like elbows and knees. Rinse and follow with body oil or rich body crème and don’t forget to use toner on your face. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing and prepare to wake up the next morning with glowing skin and feeling completely refreshed!
