Sometimes when I look around and realize that I have surrounded myself with incredibly successful women, I’m so proud – I’m not even sure what to say. They inspire me each and every day of my life to be better, to reach for more and to never let anyone tell me I can’t. From my closest friends to those you I know distantly and in some cases, simply women I follow and aren’t personal connections – I’m inspired.
I’m blown away each and every day by the women out there who are trail blazers for women everywhere. The ones who have let absolutely nothing stand in their way of turning dreams into reality. It’s amazing and I love it. In honor of Women’s History Month, let’s take a look at a few of those women who keep me reaching for the stars and inspire me to not let a single thing block my path to success.
6 Successful Women & The Big Lessons They Inspire
#1. Jennifer Lopez. She’s amazing, right? A good friend and a woman on a mission to do absolutely anything and everything she can to make her passions her job. She’s had her fair share of uphill battles, but she is the true definition of someone who learns from each and every moment and every roadblock just makes her stronger along the way.
#2. Ellen Degeneres is a force to be reckoned with. Anyone who can take their amazing sense of humor and turn it into her full time job – and a multi-billion dollar one at that! – is pretty incredible in my book. She’s funny and always smiling, always able to find a laugh – but she also stands up for what she believes in and has paved a way in a tough world.

#3. La La Anthony. Also amazing. My sister, my friend and a partner in business. I wouldn’t have it any other way because her drive and her passion to succeed is unparalleled. Not just an amazing mom, but a force to be reckoned with when it comes to business and life.
I want to be better than I was yesterday!

#4. Leah Remini. Another amazing friend and partner in laughter and love. She stands up for her beliefs, does not back down and isn’t afraid. She’s incredible at putting it all out there, saying “this is me, take it or leave it” and I love that and strive to have that kind of courage.

#5. Oprah Winfrey. She’s changed the way we look at women and what they can do when they put a whole heap of passion behind a dream. People everywhere know her name and love her and everything she stands for. She’s real too, dealing with the same stuff all women deal with – weight struggles, relationships, friendship. But, no matter what – she just keeps on going for it and always with a smile on her face.

So what is it all these successful women have in common? They’re real. They are real women who said to themselves, “I am going to chase my dream. I’m going to work hard, play fair and I’m not stopping until I get there.” None of them have ever stopped. They’ve all had challenges along the way, but they’ve all picked up, learned from those challenges and kept on going. Each and every one of us can learn from them – nothing, nothing should ever stand in your way of following your dreams, but it’s up to each and every one of you to do the work to get there.
