Overcoming Setbacks in Life by Loren Ridinger. Anytime you set out to accomplish a goal, you may encounter a setback. This is just how the flow of the universe works at times. I know that setbacks are frustrating and you wish that you could have a straight path from point A to B, however, I think that we view setbacks from the wrong perspective. Setbacks usually also bring a lesson, needed experiences or resources.
Most of the time while we have our nose to the grind, we have tunnel vision. We may not have paid attention to fine little details that we need when we get to our destination. Setbacks help us to retrace our steps, change our view from a different angle and regroup. Often times we view a setback as denial, when really it is a delay. We become so angry that we have to start over and may miss the opportunities that usually follow a setback. There is always a source of help that comes with these types of circumstances. Pay attention. Do not focus on the fact that there is a brief delay. Remove yourself emotionally to take a look at the big picture. I am sure you will see that this brief halt in your plans will eventually work out for the best. Remain confident, continue to produce great work and learn lessons. Your setback is nothing more than a setup to catapult you exactly where you need to be.
