On the heels of NBC’s announcement of the big return of “Will and Grace,” ABC has announced that “Roseanne” will return on a limited basis. The hilarious 90’s series created by comedian Roseanne Barr will air eight episodes in 2018.
What’s even better is that nearly the entire original cast will coming back! A press release details Barr will be joined by John Goodman (Dan), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Michael Fishman (D.J.) and Lecy Goranson (Becky). If you were a fan of Becky #2, Sarah Chalke is also set to return although she will play “another role.”
“The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant – and hilarious – today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne,” said Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment at their upfront presentation in New York City.

Speaking of Mark, his brother David also married into the Conner family and was played by Johnny Galecki. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he can currently be seen on “The Big Bang Theory” where he plays Leonard Hofstadter. Will he be making some sort of appearance? With such a big return for the show, it would not surprise me that the network is keeping a lot of things quiet at this point.
