We talk pretty frequently at Loren’s World about health and fitness, but one thing I’ve noticed that seems to be missing from the conversation: the importance of stretching. With so much pressure to get out there to find time for your daily fitness regimen, stretching often falls by the wayside. If you’re a super active individual and you’re skipping the stretching, you’ve probably noticed lots of aches and pains and oftentimes, you’re so tight you can barely bend to tie your shoes! If you’re out of shape and trying to get back into a routine, same thing! Aches, pains and tightness can be extreme. The lesson here? No matter what your fitness level, stretching should top your priority list, always. If stretching is the thing that you always forget, that little habit that never quite becomes a habit, it’s time to raise the bar, get in the game and make stretching an integral part of your daily workout.
