So, you’re heading out for a night on the town and you want the perfect smokey eye. Only problem is that you don’t know where to start. I get it! Smokey eye makeup looks can be so intimidating! While watching YouTube videos, the makeup gurus make it seems so easy. Trust me, I know experimenting with your makeup isn’t always easy. That’s why I’ve brought together some products to help streamline the process. Get the smokey eye you want in a cinch with these products from Motives®! Hopefully this will help!
Everything You Need for a Smokey Eye
- Start off with a strong primer to keep the whole eye look in place.
Motives® Eye Base, Motives® Cosmetics, $16.95
- Use a fluffy brush and apply a warm matte brown shade into the crease as a transition color.
Motives® Eye Blender Brush, Motives® Cosmetics, $10.95

- Use a flat shader brush. Dip it into a dark shade of your choice and apply it all over the lid. Blend it into the warm shade in the crease. Apply the dark shade under the waterline as well. Start off light. Remember that you can always build the color, but you can’t exactly erase.

- Go into your waterline with a dark kohl liner and smudge it to the shade under the waterline for a super smokey look.

Finally, use a highlighter shade in your inner corner to give your eyes a pop of shimmer. Blend it into to the rest of the eye to finish off the look.
