As my hair gets blonder, I like to keep up with blonde hair trends. Bayalage is all the rage now so I was curious when I cam across an article on Byrdie claiming that there’s a new trend replacing baylage. According to Amber Maynard of Zero Nine One, it’s all about the roots when it comes to this new hair look. It’s all about giving hair longevity so that when it grows out, you get an intentionally cool “it” girl effect. Check out some examples below.
Blondes, This Hair Trend is For You

According to writer Victoria Hoff, this trend is the lazy gal’s version of bayalage and it’s definitely unique. It’s slowly becoming a major trend with the young Hollywood set. Think Kristen Stewart and Paris Jackson. They’ve all been spotted with darker roots and blonde locks.

Blondes, will you be willing to try out this smokey look for spring and summer? I don’t think it’s for me, but I love the concept! We’re moving towards no-nonsense beauty trends that are all about preference, which I think is great. What works for you? Anything goes these days, ladies—especially when it comes to beauty.
