Feelings are complicated, but we all have them. To me, emotions and feelings are a part of life. You have to deal with them one way or another. Below, I’m going to share some helpful ways to deal with negative feelings head-on so you can prove to yourself that you can overcome them. Read on to learn more and let me know what you think in the comments.
Take a deep breath- Seriously, breathing deeply for a moment can work wonders. Every time I face an undesirable feeling I take a moment, quiet my mind, breathe deep, and calm myself down. This helps me get in the present moment and focus on what’s important: my why.
Create something- For some people, letting that inner child out through a creative process gets them in a good mood. Write something, draw something, just create something. It’ll help get those feelings out in a positive way.
Journal- I always say it, but writing through those negative feelings is a great way to cope. Write out all those feelings and then remind yourself that you love and accept yourself and everything will be alright in the end. Now, work hard to face those scary feelings, people!
Do something- Sometimes the best method of dealing with certain feelings is to forget about them all together. Feelings are fleeting, so it’s best to distract yourself from them. Go for a walk and listen to your favorite songs, clean your house or immerse yourself in your work. It’s that simple!
I hoped this helped you deal with some of your feelings in a positive way! Be sure to let me know what you think of this post in the comments section below! xoxo
