Change is the only constant, so personal growth is imperative. When JR and I started Market America, we knew that for it to succeed, we had to grow and prosper with the company. We worked hard while also working on ourselves. Now, we feel beyond blessed, but there were a few things we had to give up along the way. If you’re looking to grow and prosper, there are a few things you’re going to have to give up to get to where you want to be. Read on to learn the four things you need to give up. Enjoy!
4 Things You Must Give Up to Grow
Negative People- Twice a year I give speeches at MAWC and MAIC. I talk about the importance of having good people and positive energy around you. Let that negativity go! If you have friends or family around you who are telling you that you can’t do it, let them go! Prove them wrong in the process. You deserve friends who believe in you and your ideas.
Bad Habits- Waking up late, overindulging, or neglecting your responsibilities won’t get you anywhere. I know it’s scary, but learn to face your fears and push through to break those bad habits. The second you’re truly willing to change and focus on what you want your life to look like, the world will open up for you, and you’ll be able to break those bad habits.
Excuses- How many of us say the same thing? “I’ll get it done tomorrow.” “But, I’m so tired.” Give up on the excuses. “But” won’t get you anywhere. Follow your dreams, and watch your life change.
Perfectionism – Ladies and gentlemen, we all suffer from this. We expect everything to be perfect so when we fail, we freak out and stop our hard work and our attempts to change. Know that failure is inevitable. You learn more from failure than you do from success. Get ready to fail. Become excited to fail.
