Summer is rapidly approaching! It’s the time when the weather gets warmer, and the drinks get colder- and I’m so excited. While the countdown to fantastic weather has officially begun, many people fear to show off their bodies. Sure, not everyone can make the time to get their fitness regimens in order, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make up for lost time. A healthy body is created from the inside out. In honor of the upcoming summer season, I have decided to share some tips to get beach body ready in 6 weeks. Ready, set; let’s get to work!
Monday Motivation: How to Get Beach Body Ready in 6 Weeks
#1. Seek professional help. A reputable personal trainer and nutritionist can tell you the appropriate level of exercise and what to eat based on your metabolism to help you lose weight more quickly.
#2. Drink extra water. One of the best ways to rid yourself of excess water weight is to flush your body out with water. Not providing your body with enough water can reduce the effectiveness of your workouts. You should drink the daily-recommended intake of 6-8 glasses of water. Add a slice of fresh lemon or lime for additional detoxifying benefits.
#3. Cut back on processed carbohydrates. I know this step is easier said than done, but to get your body in shape, you must cut back. Foods such as bread, crackers, and pasta have tons of sodium and preservatives that can contribute to bloating.
#4. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Fresh fruits and veggies are a great way to load your body with much-needed vitamins and nutrients to help you on your fitness journey.
#5. Do strength-training exercises. Committing to a full-body strength training program at least three times a week will help you to burn calories and develop lean muscles. Exercises such as squats, deep lunges, rows, hip extensions, and pushups are great at targeting multiple muscle groups to maximize your workout.
#6. Target your glutes and stomach during your exercises. Working out your glutes is one of the easiest ways to burn calories because it is one of the biggest muscles in your body. The only way to get summer body read is by having a flat tummy. Concentrating on both areas during your workouts will get your body in shape in no time.
#7. Cut out sauces from your diet. Sauces like ketchup, barbecue sauce, and salad dressings contain extra calories you don’t need. As painful as this step might be, every calorie counts.
