What do Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace, and Rihanna have in common? They’re the hosts for the 2018 Met Gala, of course! Anna Wintour pegged the Met Gala veterans to host the 2018 event with the theme “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
The 2018 Met Gala Hosts Have Been Announced
I can’t wait to see what they wear, and I’m not alone. Vogue wrote “The big question, of course, is what will they wear? While we count down to the big night—May 7, 2018—we look back at each woman’s personal Met Gala history searching for clues.”
Amal wore Maison Margiela to the 2015 “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Rihanna on the other hand has attended 7 different Met Galas. Every year, she’s known for a show stopping dress. Her most notable? Her Guo Pei dress worn in 2015. Everyone was talking about her look. Donatella has been to 16 different Met Galas, some with her brother by her side. Next year, she’ll be honoring him by hosting fashion’s biggest night.
I’m already so excited for the event. I’m so ready to see what celebrities and fashion industry friends are going to do with this unique and fascinating theme!
