There is no better way to get products in front of the masses than when celebrities collaborate with brands. My girl Kim Kardashian cannot wear a dress or a shade of lipstick without fans needing to have it immediately. Kim is beautiful and every woman wants to feel beautiful. When Katie Holmes became the first celebrity ambassador for Bobbi Brown, it helped catapult the brand to the next level. And so it is now with the onslaught of celebrity collaborations we just can’t seem to get enough of. So here’s a roundup of the best of the best.
These are 5 of my favorite celebrity collaborations:
#1. La La Anthony- Motives for La La
I can’t talk about my favorite celebrity brand collaborations without kicking it off with Motives for La La. Those of us at Motives wanted to do something special with my gorgeous friend La La Anthony. No matter when I see her, it’s like her skin is glowing from the inside out without much effort.
We had a lot of fun creating eye shadows, blushes, lip shines and glosses.
#2. Karlie Kloss- Karlie Kloss for Swarovski
This week it was announced that model Karlie Kloss replaced Miranda Kerr as the face of Swarovski. Not only is Karlie drop-dead gorgeous, but she’s the traditional girl next door…if she had legs that went on for days! Karlie, who counts Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Cara Delevigne as part of her squad, will front the brand for two years.
#3. Ashley Graham- Ashley Graham for SwimSuitsForAll
There’s no doubt about it, this is the year of the curvy girl. Model Ashley Graham has been seen everywhere from the cover of Sports Illustrated, smooching Joe Jonas in a music video, and in her first swimsuit collection for SwimSuitsForAll.
The point of women like Ashley to be in the mainstream is so that people are inspired to be more body positive with how you look right now and that beauty comes in all sizes.
Go girl!
#4. Kendall Jenner- Kendall Jenner for Estee Lauder
Estee Lauder is a luxury brand that’s respected and beloved the world over. But there was this idea that their products catered mainly to older women. I applaud them for embracing youth by bringing Kendall Jenner on board. Since Kendall came on board, Estee Lauder has grown on social media and brand awareness has increased in the younger generation across the board.
The event created a new line exclusively with Sephora called The Estee Edit.
#5. Katy Perry- Katy Perry for COVERGIRL
Katy Perry is so much fun to watch on stage and red carpets because she just likes to have fun. She’s unapologetic and confident no matter how silly her outfit is. When Katy partnered with COVERGIRL, it was like she helped the brand step out of their comfort zone a bit and get a little wild.
The Katy Kat Collection is exclusively available from COVERGIRL at your favorite mass retailers. The lipstick line includes 11 matte shades for $7.99 each.
