The CFDA Awards were held in New York this week. Did you check out my fashion recap post? The event was full of fashionistas and celebrities looking glamorous and gorgeous. One of my favorite celebrity looks of the evening was Kirsten Dunst. She represented Rodarte by wearing one of their dresses and definitely looked fabulous. It was a head-to-toe flawless look, especially that statement earring. Gorgeous. Along with her beautiful dress and accessories, Dunst also rocked a smokey eye makeup look that I couldn’t help but notice. Check it out below.

Love her makeup look as much as I do? Read on to learn how to get this look at home!
Start off with a matte base! I suggest using a powder foundation because this look required a lot of powder products and you want to be sure they blend well together. My top product? Motives Luminous Translucent Loose Powder. This product has some serious staying power, plus it’s the type of product that will cover up while showing off your face. We’re not trying to look too powdery so be sure to use this sparingly.
Be sure to conceal your under eye circles and blemishes for a flawless application. Next, move on to your eyebrows. You want bold brows because you’re going for a bold eye look so fill them in with an eyebrow pencil that best matches your brow color. Prime your eyes before you go in with any shadow. We’re going to be packing on some eyeshadow so we’ll need something to make it stick. Pack a flat brush with lots of black eyeshadow. Go for a matte shade that you can easily blend. My top pick is the Motives for La La Presses Eye Shadow in Captured. It’s a pigmented shade that’s super easy to blend so it’s perfect for a smokey eye look. Once you’ve patted that all over your eyelid, use a fluffy brush to blend it out. Don’t be afraid to get that color into your crease.
Next, take a little bit of that matte black on a smaller brush and blend it under the water line. Use a black kohl liner to line your water line and tight line before going in with a cream matte eyeshadow shade to highlight the inner corners and brow bone. Add mascara to the lashes. Use a powder bronzer and highlighter to contour and highlight your cheeks. Lastly pair your look with some pinky red lipstick and you’re Kirsten Dunst inspired look is all set!
