I’m the first person to admit my love for shoes! When I see a gorgeous pair of heels or flats, I can’t contain myself! What can I say? It’s unadulterated, no-holds-bar love. Yup, I love shoes. What I don’t love as much is being uncomfortable in my shoes. I also don’t like it when my shoes are unorganized, smelly, broken or dirty. Do you feel the same? That’s why I’m here with a post full of hacks for shoe-obsessed folks like me! Read on to learn more! Your shoes will thank you!
Comfort
-Got slippery shoes? If your strapped for time, instead of trying to break them in, rub sandpaper on the soles of your shoes to improve their grip.
-If you’ve got a pair of shoes you especially love that are a little too tight, don’t fret. Here’s what you need: thick socks and a hairdryer. Put on your shoes over your socks and turn on that hair dryer to loosen your new shoes.
-If you get blisters from your shoes, grab some deodorant—yes, deodorant. Apply some allover the shoe to reduce friction.
–Tape the 2nd and 3rd tows together when wearing heels. This will take some pressure on nerves in your feet and will help make those heels more comfortable.
Cleaning
-Got a stain on your suede shoes? No worries! Grab a nail file or talc for oil stains. It’s like you’ve got brand new suede shoes on.
-If your white sneakers are looking a little bit dirty, use some toothpaste with a toothbrush to keep your sneaks squeaky clean!
Repair
-This is my favorite hack: stop your shoes from squeaking by sprinkling baby powder under the inner sole.
-If your favorite leather pumps are scuffed up, head to the bathroom cabinet and bust out your moisturizer. It gets rid of scuffs and scratches in a cinch.
-Keep your shoes smelling fresh by adding some lemon peel, dry tea bags or baking soda over night!
