Pixies and undercut haircuts have not slowed down in popularity among women of all ages and I don’t think it’ll happen anytime soon. I was recently talking to a friend that got an undercut and she didn’t realize it was going to be so much work to have her hair grow back. I saw this story in Allure that reminded me of my friend’s issues and I thought it was something you all should think about before making that hair appointment.
The tips were great and they use the beautiful Gina Rodriguez as an example. She cut her hair for a part in a film that required her to do so. The one thing my friend did mention she liked about growing out her hair was how much she liked most of the stages of growth since she’d go to get a trim. She worked with her stylist to make it look the best, though now that it’s all grown back she doubts she’ll take the super short plunge again anytime soon.

Tips or Growing Out a Short Haircut:
Here are the tips from the magazine, full of quotes from a lot of professionals.
Are you sure?
As I mentioned above, my friend who got an undercut didn’t realize the maintenance that it would take to get her hair back to what it used to be. Google other people’s experiences and see what they went through. Celebrity stylist Riawna Capri, who worked with Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato when they cut their hair short, says it takes most people two years to get it back to what it was. That is exactly how long it took my friend so it’s accurate for most women.
Vitamins for your hair are a thing
It’s important to know that you still have to take care of your hair even if it’s short. You can get a lot of the necessary vitamins and minerals from foods including salmon, pumpkin seeds, beans, and strawberries. There are a lot of supplements you can also take so make sure to research them carefully.

Fake it till you make it
Do you hate your short hair? Maybe you’re just not a fan of one of your phases of growth. Follow in Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes footsteps and fake it! You can rock a fun wig or add extensions. There are so many types and shades that you’ll find something that works with you and your look.
Have fun with it!
At the end of the day, don’t stress yourself it because it’s just hair. It will grow out and you’ll be fine if you don’t like it or if you think it’s growing out weird. Another fun way you can change up your look is to add color. You’d be surprised how much a bit of color can change up your whole look. The most important thing is to have fun! Trends change so often so I like to think that it’s all about making you feel beautiful. Experiment often but make sure you always research anything you don’t know about. The beauty of the internet is that whatever you’re considering was probably already done by someone else. Find out about their experiences before making your choice.
