An Alexander McQueen movie is on it’s way, fashion lovers. The great designer will be portrayed by actor Jack O’Connell—who looks strikingly like McQueen. Just check him out below.
The film is reported to follow McQueen as he creates his controversial Fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection, which was a highly controversial yet successful show.
According to Pathé, the production company behind the movie, this film is meant to be a retrospective as much as a celebration of McQueen’s “creative genius.”
“It was a show that he dedicated to his mother and one in which he tried to make sense of his life and art. The film explores McQueen’s creative process in the months leading up to the show, providing an intimate portrait of the man behind the global brand—a moving celebration of a visionary genius whose designs transcended fashion to become art.”
I’m excited to hear that such a talented, passionate actor has been rewarded the role. If all the rumors are true, it’s sure to be an exciting look into the life of the man who turned the fashion world upside down. Can’t wait to catch this film.
