Guilford Courthouse National Military Park commemorates the Battle of Guilford Court House fought on March 15, 18 1781. This battle opened the campaign that eventually led to the Revolutionary War. American history buffs will love this spot while the rest of us can experience history in this preserved battlefield.
If you’re on a budget, the Greensboro Arboretum is free of charge and perfect for the family. The arboretum features landscaped grounds with labeled plant collections, annual and perennial flowers, an arbor, gazebo and a lighted fountain. Great for an Instagram pic!
For a unique experience, book a tour of Korner’s Folly. This eccentric 19th-century house is located in Kernersville, which is just a 25-minute drive by car. This architectural wonder will make your Greensboro experience!
The Bog Garden is a nature preserve, national park, and botanic garden. Admission is also free here so great if you’re looking to save while at MAIC 2018. Visitors can enjoy the sounds of water at Serenity Falls while viewing the many varieties of plants, birds, and other wildlife inhabiting the area. Sounds like a tranquil spot to relax after MAIC.
