During MAIC2018, I was lucky enough to have a slew of photographers getting the best photos to show off the magnitude of the event. At the same time, they got great moments with me and some of my friends backstage and at events. I understand that not everyone is so lucky. Some women don’t have Instagram husbands or people by their side to get photos of them everywhere they go. In a time where having a personal brand means having an outstanding Instagram page, having great pictures of yourself are a must.
How to Take Instagram Pictures By Yourself
A post shared by Loren Ridinger (@lorenridinger) on
I came across Ashley of bestdressed while surfing the web a few weeks back. She recently posted a video explaining how she gets such great photos on the fly. Check out some of her Instagram pics below.
What you will need to take Instagram pics by yourself:
A small tripod
A camera
How to get it done according to bestdressed:
Bring lots of different outfits to make the most out of your photoshoot. Try to play with outfits and accessories so you can play up one piece rather than changing into a new outfit.
Ashley suggests that instead of turning on the self-timer, use the video function on your camera to get as much out of your photo shoot as possible. That way you can use as many poses as you like without waiting for the self-timer to go off. Play with poses to get the best one!
Location is essential to Ashley. She scouts out the places where she takes photos so get the best out of her shoot and chooses shady spots for the best pictures.
