Why stay in a relationship where happiness has become a distant reality? Why remain in a situation where arguing has become the normal form of communication? You never want to be with a person who no longer has interest in you or the partnership. Be honest with yourself when you have become an option instead of the priority. Women are born with an innate intuition. Deep down you realize how to know when a relationship is over.
I think we forget that the purpose of relationships is to find a partner, companion, and friend that we can grow and build with. When you feel trapped or stagnant, this is the time to make a decision. I never understood the idea of staying with a person out of loneliness. You can be in a relationship with a person and still feel lonely.
I would suggest to never release happiness for the sake of having a partner. Never rob yourself of true happiness. Never get to the point where you are willing to trade joy just to say that you have someone. Relationships can only work if both of you have the intent of a positive end result. There is always a choice. Choose to let go when you are the only one hanging on. Make a choice that includes happiness, your happiness. Listen to your gut. You will know when to let go of a relationship.
