Have you ever looked up to someone or admired something about another person that really inspired you? We all need to be inspired in order to accomplish something and we need leaders to inspire people with clear visions of how things can be done better. Growing up in a small city in North Carolina, inspiration and belief is really all I had. The biggest adventure that I could ever experience was the adventure of living the life I always dreamed about. Inspiration fuels our desire to reach for our dreams, it’s great to be inspired by others but sometimes it’s more rewarding for me to be able to help others make their dreams come true.
My inspiration was and still is Oprah Winfrey, she paved the way for many struggling women but most importantly she taught me how to dream, how to fight for what I believe in, to be inspired and to make a difference. In 1991, I was a young girl, a receptionist at a TV marketing firm, with no money, no big house, no car all I had was belief and dreams. Just likeOprah I worked hard, I knew something bigger was always destined for me, I failed many times but I never stopped trying till day I’m still trying. I created “Life with Loren” to inspire and encourage all of you to dream BIG! You have to work hard at what you love and remember that nothing is successful overnight.
I welcome you to enter the “Inspired to Dream” video contest and inspire others to dream. All video entries will be posted online for viewers to comment. The 10 finalists will be selected on September 8th and featured on the Life with Loren section of Lorensworld.com to be reviewed by our panel of judges and our viewers. The winner will be announced on September 15th to be included in the next “Life with Loren” webisode, will receive a Loren Jewels bracelet and a chance to meet me. Contest Rules:
- Video entries must be uploaded no later than September 7th, 2010 by 11:59 PM
- Winner will be announced September 15, 2010 via Twitter and will be posted on www.lorensworld.com.
- Winner has up to 5 p.m. day of September 15, 2010 to claim prize
- Video entries must not exceed no longer than 4 minutes and 30 seconds, all videos that exceed over 5 minutes will not be posted on the site and will be excluded for entry
- You must be reside in one of the 50 states in order to enter contest
