Ever take forever to get the simplest task done? Yeah, you’re not alone. Seems like we’ve all got a problem with time management. Spending hours on one task is NOT the way to go, people. Sure, hard work takes time but does your task really need to take the entire day? I’m here to tell you that there are better ways to getting things done. Enter, the Pomodoro method. Created by Francesco Cirillo, in the late 1980s, the Pomodoro method is a way to keep you on task even when you just want to watch Netflix. Want to learn more? Read on!
First thing’s first, you need to decide on what needs to get done. Is it that podcast? Those phone calls? Setting up your Unfranchise Business? Choose what you need to do in order to start putting all your focus on it.
Set a timer for 25 minutes and work on the task until the timer rings. Yup, that’s the kicker. You have to work hard for 25 minutes straight. It’s a great amount of time in order to really work hard on something straight.
When the timer rings, take a short 3 to 5 minute break. Head to the bathroom, make a little snack or take a social media break. Whatever you want before you get started again.
Start the timer for 25 minutes again and work your tush off until the timer rings. Take another short break. Do this for four straight “pomodoros” until you get your task done! Then take a 15 to 20-minute break before you start up again or kick off your next task.
