Had an interview recently? It’s very important that you follow up. Why? It’ll help reinforce your interest. If the interview didn’t go well, it’s a chance for you to answer questions or go over a answer you didn’t have in the moment. It implies persistence and it’s just plain polite to say ‘thank you’ for someone’s time. Imagine if you were an interviewer. It wouldn’t hurt to get that ‘thank you’ email from someone you just met!
Remember to send that follow up email within two days of your interview. Keep things light and cheery. Try not to be too pushy. Instead keep it to a quick thank you, mention how excited you are for the opportunity, and mention what stood out in the interview. Need some examples, read on!
