Can you really have it all? by Loren Ridinger. I find the question “can you really have it all?” to be something so many of us ask ourselves during various phases in our lives. The idea of having it all is completely subjective. I believe that before you can truly have it all you have to define what your definition of “all” is. The vision that you have for your life may not be the same as it was 10 years ago.
You may have thought that having a corporate career, spending long hours at the office, and traveling with friends to exotic locations is having it all. Your mental scope and ideas of the idealistic life may have transitioned from that to being a woman owning her own business juggling kids, a relationship, and family. We evolve from year to year.
My belief is that you can have it all once you clearly define how you desire to live your life. The conflicting question of “if we can” arises when we try to acquire things for the wrong purposes or attempt to live a life that is not really for us. When we do this, we become bogged down trying juggle a lifestyle that becomes more exhausting than fulfilling. So can you really have it all? Yes, you can have it all! You just have to determine all that you wish to have.
