Hi Margie,
Thanks so much for sending me an email. I loved reading about you.
I’m not sure if you know this about me, but my mother also passed away at a young age—I was barely 18 years old. I was completely broken hearted. But like your mother, my mother instilled very important attributes in me, which I continue to use in my day-to-day life. When you use the skills she taught you growing up, you allow her soul to live through you. She is never lost.
Congratulations on pursuing another degree. That’s great! Knowledge is key. But as for your concern about your age—really, it’s only a number. If you feel insecure about your age others will feel it as well. So just act as if it’s no big deal, because really it’s not! When it’s our time to accomplish a dream, it’s our time. And I understand you’re talking about a larger goal, but what about all the other accomplishments you’ve made until now? We must not forget those. And you must acknowledge that some of those earlier accomplishments had to happen in order to get to where you are today.
My advice to you is to stay focus on your big dream and enjoy the little steps that take you there. Sometimes those small steps are the sweetest. And also know you’re mother is guiding you, and so very proud.
xoxo,
Loren
