With restaurants everywhere from Beverly Hills to New York
and London, Mr Chow is an international force, to say the least. Michael Chow,
the infamous restaurateur, opened his first eatery in Knightsbridge, London in
1968. In 2009 he opened Mr Chow in Miami Beach. I, of course, was ecstatic
because I’ve long loved his locations Midtown and Tribeca, and now there was a
location in my Miami neighborhood!
If you ever make it to Miami, I urge you to check our Mr
Chow both for its food and its ambient. Its location inside the W Hotel gives
this already fabulous restaurant an extra touch of glam. On any given night,
the whos-who of Miami’s social scene fill every chair in the house. So dress
appropriately. And once you’re there notice the 123-foot gold leaf and Swarovski
crystal chandelier designed by Michael Chow himself.
Must-have items include the pecking duck, any of the
dumplings, and of course the Mr Chow noodles. If you happen to be in Miami
anytime between now and the end of September, the restaurant is participating
in Miami Spice. So you can get a three-course meal at a pre-fixe price of $35
per guest. Oh and, reservations are a must, so keep that in mind.
Enjoy!
