Favorite product to sell and why?
My favorite products to sell are our Isotonix because they work and you can drink them. I reviewed the clinical studied ingredients and saw the company’s commitment to quality. I truly believe all of humanity should experience the power and value of this supplement line made with love.
How did you pivot your business strategy when the pandemic hit?
After I recovered from the shock and realty of hearing the word “pandemic”, I went into crisis management and problem solving mode. I knew my technology skills needed to go to another level. So I upgraded my Zoom account through Market America; stocked up on toilet paper, toiletries and essentials through shop.com. Gathered my team and ensured they did the same. We hunkered down and moved everything virtually, with the company’s guidance and leadership from my senior partner.
How have you used social and digital to grow your business?
I immediately cleaned the clutter from my digital devices, bought a new laptop, invested in a new logo then joined virtual networking groups, Facebook business groups and Clubhouse platform. Also, leaned heavily on my private Facebook team pages for fast communication, announcements, promotions and live streams. My team and I downloaded all the company apps and used team apps such as Slack. Needless to say we had to become adaptable, lean and nimble.
What piece of advice would you tell a UFO who is just starting out?
Be a sponge, ask a lot of questions and take all the trainings right away. Be patient during the process, there are no shortcuts enjoy the journey. There is a learning curve yet all of the tools and resources are streamlined and simplified for you in your back-office. And the most priceless resource are our experience Unfranchise Owners who are here to support, help encourage you along the way. You’re in business for yourself yet not by yourself.
How does attending MAWC, or any corporate event impact your business?
It will turbo charge your growth and belief. Conventions and corporate events are game changers for your business. If there was a short cut, attending will be it. I’ve never seen anyone succeed without the corporate events and conventions. It blew my mind and my only regret was not having more people with me. Grab your friends and the people you care about an experienced this with them. The best return on investment!
What would you say to someone who is on the fence about attending MAWC?
Get off. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The worst thing that can happen is that everything will stay the same. I know it’s a leap of faith and it can be scary, however just think how exhilarated you will feel and proud you will be of yourself for doing something you’ve never done before. You’re not alone, we will be right there with you.
How has Loren Ridinger inspired you?
Wow, you really gonna make me cry. There was no way I can answer this question without writing a book. In my 50 years on this earth, Loren by far is the woman that has had the deepest and most long-lasting impact on my life. A few years ago, I was going through a major traumatic life situation personally and professionally at the same time. You know, it was Loren who was there for me comforting and talking to me almost daily and in the middle of the night. She believed in me, and saw this diamond in the rough. She’s my hero!
Are there any other females in the business that inspire you? If so, who and why?
The matriarchs of my family, my late mother, former postal worker became a real estate investor after years on welfare. My late grandmother who had a third grade education yet became a successful seamstress. Descendants of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and landed in Alabama. They endured the Jim Crow Era and Civil Rights Movement through horrific traumatic experiences. They migrated to the north and produced a multitude of children and grandchildren. I am honored to carry and continue their legacy.
What’s your super power?
RESILIENCE AND WORLDS BEST AUNTIE 🥰
