In 2020, Market America Worldwide | SHOP.COM announced the company’s unwavering commitment to fight racism and inequality while promoting racial justice and equality. At that time, we proudly announced that June 19 — known as “Juneteenth” — became an official company holiday in the United States and Canada. Juneteenth, also known as “Freedom Day,” “Jubilee Day” and “Cel-Liberation Day,” is an American holiday celebrated annually on June 19 in commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.
This year, the Market America | SHOP.COM offices in the U.S. and Canada will be closed on Monday, June 20, to commemorate Juneteenth. At Market America Worldwide | SHOP.COM, we are proud to recognize and celebrate this monumental day as we continue to strive for peace, unity, and love among all of us. Please remember the depth of importance and relevance that Juneteenth embodies.
The company created “What is Juneteenth?,” a video about Juneteenth that features several of the company’s leaders and executives discussing the importance of Juneteenth to them and how each of us can take part in honoring this important holiday annually and throughout the year.
We will continue to seek out ways to be part of the progress — as a company and as a community. You have our commitment that acts of racism, hate speech, and discrimination of any kind are not tolerated at our company and are strict violations of our company policy. We are extremely proud and respectful of the diverse family that we have at Market America Worldwide | SHOP.COM!
