As a business owner, you spend many hours thinking of creative ways to market my brands. I understand that running a huge corporation does not rest on the shoulders of one or two people, but that i takes collective effort and input from other great individuals to successfully drive my company. I believe that when you have individuals around you that understand, support and expand your vision, you have a great formula of success.
If you have a company that has 500 or 5 employees, realize that they are key elements to your business growth. Do not forget about them. You are the leader and so you have the responsibility and accountability to your team to inspire, empower and motivate. Here are some great ways on how to inspire your employees.
1. Recognition: Money is nice but it is not everything. You will come to see that when you (the boss) recognizes someone’s hard work, it leaves a long lasting impression on them. Words go a very long way.
2. Corporate pep talks: You can bring morale boosters from the outside to pump your team up. However, there is nothing better when the leader of a team can articulate the company’s mission, projected outcomes, and forecasts with such passion that ignites the staff. That is real power.
3. Provide Training. If you are moving in a new direction, train your staff. This keeps them in the loop and allows them to excel in their respected position.
4. Company Day. Take one day or week out of every quarter that focuses on team building, recognition and promotion. You will see team spirit rise.
5. Contests. There is nothing wrong with healthy competition. Think of a contest that helps with company goals and projections. Divide your staff into teams and let them get work. Let the outcome of the word decide who the player is.
