There are uncomfortable moments that may arise at the workplace when you will have to tell your boss that she is wrong. Most people attempt to avoid conflict with a boss when it comes to addressing an error on that they may have made, however, it does not have to be a negative experience. Just think, the error could cost a department money or reprimand a person who was not at fault. Before you allow intimidation to creep up, remind yourself that honesty is always the best policy and can go a long way with tact and precision.
Here are some ways to tell your boss that she is wrong:
1. Use discretion and tact, do not see this as an opportunity to undermine or blast your boss.
2. Ask for a personal meeting. Bring documents that support what you are saying.
3. If it is a simple mistake, send an email with corrections.
4. Understand that you are apart of a team and the error is a reflection on the team and not just one person.
