2.     Focus on the individual – not yourself or others who have been affected by the mistake.

3.     Stay on task – be sure you are focused on the issue at hand.

4.     Skip the advice – gear the conversation so that the individual creates a solution on their own.

5.     Wrap up on another positive note.
