This post-Christmas lead up to new year’s eve is a favorite time for reflection. As we prepare to kiss goodbye to 2018, it’s important to understand why we didn’t achieve everything we intended to. Here are six likely reasons why you didn’t accomplish your 2018 goals.
6 Reasons Why You Didn’t Accomplish Your 2018 Goals
#1. You didn’t plan.
If you didn’t have a detailed plan mapping out how you would achieve your goals, you bounced around without any direction. Now it the time to write a strategy to slay your goals by this time next year.
#2. You lack motivation.
You tend to get all excited about new ideas, but within weeks you’ve lost that drive that has you jumping out of bed every morning. Work on identifying your passion – when you find it, a fire will burn in your soul so fierce that you can’t think of anything but fulfilling your dreams.
#3. Your mindset is blocking you.
If you don’t believe in yourself with every ounce of your being, you won’t visualize living your dream life, meaning you’re not manifesting effectively.
#4. You hang around the wrong people.
Who you flock with is one of the most influential factors of success. Analyze your circle. Are you always in the company of people who fail all of their goals, or slay their goals? You need to surround yourself with people that motivate you, support you and inspire you to do better.
#5. You don’t listen.
Listening and taking constructive criticism onboard is essential for growth and development. It can also help steer you away from bad business choices.
#6. You try and do it all yourself.
Trying to do everything is one of the biggest downfalls of business owners. You cannot do everything yourself. Learn to delegate the tasks that you can so that you can focus on your goals.
