Humans are wired never to see more than one step ahead, which is why many entrepreneurs give up on their dreams when they could be just around the corner from success. We’ve all seen the memes telling us not to quit because we’re one small step away from victory, which is why I’m always reemphasizing this message in my speeches.
Follow This 6-Step Plan to Success When You Feel Lost
When you question your ability to succeed, don’t know which path to take at your life crossroads and start feeling lost, you won’t make any moves at all. Your fear of failure will paralyze you, forcing you to become stationary while only daydreaming about living the life of your dreams.

Step 2: Analyze
Did starting a new career, ending your relationship or whatever you did for step 1 make you happy? If so, you’re on the right path. Your next step is to work out where you want to go next. That’s your step 3. If it didn’t make you happy, why not? Try your backup plan path.
Step 3: Go with the flow when you’ve learned more about what you want from Step 2.
Step 4: Go with the flow when you’ve learned more about what you want from Step 3.
Step 5: Go with the flow when you’ve learned more about what you want from Step 4.
Step 6: Go with the flow when you’ve learned more about what you want from Step 5.
The above isn’t a copy and paste error; it’s an accurate visual path of how we achieve success. We can’t succeed until we learn more about what makes us happy, make mistakes, discover what works and find the correct path. Yes, we need business strategies and personal goals, but we also have to be prepared to go with the flow and adapt the plan based on the wisdom and knowledge we learn along the way.
