You never know if you don’t try. No matter what, even when things and problems seem larger than life, it’s worth trying to figure them out. If you don’t try to fix or resolve something, how will you ever know what could have been? Rather than leaving yourself wondering for the rest of time, don’t just walk away – try to find resolution.
Perseverance is an admirable quality. If you’re health and safety are not in danger, then pushing through a challenge is a sign of dedication and often leads to success. Picking yourself up and facing the problems, people or challenges that are standing in your way is essential sometimes. Even when it seems like too much to face, hold your head high and push through. You’ll come out stronger, smarter, happier and more fulfilled on the other end – even when times seem incredibly tough.
You’ll learn a little something along the way. Have you ever heard the expression, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”? Well, it also makes you smarter. Navigating challenges is one of the best ways to become a more well-rounded and intelligent person. You figure things out. You become a problem solver. You get real creative, real quick. You learn how to navigate the system, you become thrifty, and, eventually, you’ll make yourself the go-to person when challenges arise. Those are great skills to have and excellent resume builders.
You’ll appreciate what you have so much more. Sometimes going through tough times is one of the best reminders of the things you have to be thankful for. Many people deal with huge challenges each and every day – just simply to live. We often take for granted the blessings that we have – a great job, a beautiful family, our able bodies, but when faced with challenges we suddenly realize all the gifts we’ve been given. Facing tough times can easily feel overwhelming, but when you forgo giving up and you push through – you’ll be amazed at how good things feel on the other side.
Have you been faced with challenges lately that just make you want to give up and quit? What did you do? Did you persevere?
