Facebook Valued at $50 Billion Dollars

Have any of you seen the film The Social Network. For those of you that did, isn’t amazing to see how one innovative idea can grow into a revolution—and not to mention, a company that is now valued at $50 billion dollars. Yesterday, The New York Times reported that Facebook received an additional $500 million in funding ($450 from Goldman Sachs and $50 million from a Russian Investment firm). This deal puts the social networking company ahead of companies like eBay and Time Warner in terms of worth. And even threatens Google.

I know a lot of you use Facebook to promote your business, so you’ll want to keep on top of what the giant is doing and how it’s spending it’s money. I suggest you read the article in The New York Times announcing the deal (read here) and an article in Mashable.com where they speculate what Facebook will do with all their new money (read here).

I hope this help you stay well informed. Let me know what you think about the deal @LorenRidinger.

xoxo,

Loren
