This year was all about the 70s. Bell bottom jeans and paisley tops were huge. Platform shoes, anyone? It was a different time, and the style was definitely unique.
– With the advent of bands like Nirvana came the beginning of grunge style. Plaid and Doc Martens reigned supreme. Everyone seemed to be rocking this style.
– This year brought us some more grunge looks. Business women started wearing suits to work, and they became a major staple for women in and out of the workplace.
- Men and women had been wearing sportswear for a long time, but this year it became a part of women’s everyday looks with the help of designers like Calvin Klein, Donna Karen, and Ralph Lauren. It seemed like everyone was rocking leggings and sports bras on a daily basis.
– The famous model of the 90s— Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer— gave up their reign as and gave way to heroine chic. Skinny models, wearing minimal makeup hit the runway, causing a beauty and fashion sensation.
