Best Swimsuits for Your Body Type
Apple- Remember, apple shapes have got a wider chest and shoulder area. You want to take emphasis away from your top half so go for pieces that have plain top halves. Stay away from patterns. If you need it, use a haltered piece for more support. High waist pieces help give you that hourglass figure you deserve. Be sure to show off your legs with high top bottoms, as well!
Topshop Scallop One-Piece Swimsuit, Nordstrom, $60.00
Straight- If your hips and shoulders are the same size, you’ve got that banana shape, aka, straight. Go for frills and unique designs to create that shape you want. The halter bikini is all you, baby. Plus, it’s a huge trend this season!
O’Neil Cruz Ruffle Bikini Top, Nordstrom, $48.00
Pear shape- Pear shapes have got wider hips and more slender shoulders. You ladies should avoid boy shorts because they make your hips appear wider. Aim for simple bottom. I suggest wearing high waist pieces because they accentuate your fabulous waist and hips.
BCA Move Along High Waist Bikini Bottoms, Nordstrom, $34.00
Hourglass- You are one lucky duck, hourglass, mostly because you can wear anything you like, although vintage pieces work best for showing off your figure.
J.Crew Scoop Back Italian Matte One-Piece Swimsuit, Nordstrom, $98.00
