She looked edgy and cool in a long LaBourjoisie metallic gown with a slicked back hairdo that made me want to rush to the hairstylist! She may be pretty new on the scene, but she’s definitely cementing herself as a “must watch” on the red carpet.
We spoke to Bebe’s hairstyle Ursula Stephen who came up with the look, though she admits she had other backup options available. Here’s how Ursula styled Bebe for the VMA’s including what products she used so you can recreate this look at home.
“We had three different options we were deciding on up until a few hours before the show,” Stephen said. “The VMAs are a really fun night in beauty, so I wanted to do something different from the typical Hollywood glam, and landed on an edgier wet look, pulling her hair back off of Bebe’s face.”
- After prepping hair with Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner, I added a quarter sized amount of Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Blow Dry Spray and blow dried her hair until it was 90% dry.
- Next, I smoothed over 2-inch sections of hair with my Solano Sleekheat Flatiron.
- Once hair was pin straight, I brushed it to the back of her head with R+Co Mannequin Styling Paste, using my fingers for the top section for a more effortless look, and a comb for the sides to keep everything super sleek.
- As soon as the hair was brushed back to our liking, I locked it in place using Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Anti-Humidity Hairspray, then followed by spraying some Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray for piecey-ness and texture.
