Now that it’s the end of the month, it’s time to check in with those new year resolutions and goals. It’s not always easy, but it’s important that we see them through. What were your new year’s goals? If one of them was to clean out your closet, you’re in luck! I enlisted the help of fashion blogger Noyemi Kelemdjian of Noyemi’s Notes to help us figure out what to keep in our closets and what to throw out! According to her it’s all about the old adage ‘out with the old and in with the new.’ I can’t help but agree. Below are some of her tips on what to throw out and what to keep this 2017. Check them out and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments section!

Sure, you trust and love your comfy flats, but every time you wear them your friends question your sanity. Noyemi says it’s all about those timeless staples. So this 2017, be sure to keep your sexy pumps and fancy mules IN your closet.

That dress with the giant polka dots and hearts was once chic, but these days it just seems over-the-top. Noyemi says it’s time to toss it! Aim for more classic patterns this year instead.

When your favorite choker has stopped clasping properly then it’s time to get rid of it. Goodbye, choker! Instead say ‘hello’ to some more delicate pieces. Think, skinny chokers, easy-to-wear bracelets, and sweet rings.
Toss | Broken Jewelry
Keep | Delicate Pieces
gorjana ‘G Ring’ Rings, Nordstrom, $45.00
Noyemi says your oversized tote has got to go. No one likes the lady with the giant bag in a crowded elevator. Don’t be the bag lady. Instead, a small crossbody bag should do this 2017!
Toss | Oversized Tote bags
Keep | Crossbody bags
Dinky Crossbody in Glovetanned Leather with Meadowlark Embellishment, Coach, $495.00
