Miami Swim Week begins tomorrow! I’m so excited to check out all the trends for next summer. Miami Swim Week is usually all about swimwear and this year is no different— no matter the unique concept of the show. Either way, you know that it’s going to be chic, unique, and fun! That’s what Miami Swim Week is all about, which is why I love keeping up with the shows.
Miami Swim Week: McDonald’s McDCouture Kick Off
This year, McDonald is teaming up with Miami International University of Art and Design for a second year to bring you McDonald’s McDCouture. In 2015 the fast food company and the school worked together to create a signature of haute couture looks using only McDonald’s packing. Check out the video from 2015’s Funkshion Fashion Show below!
The show became a viral sensation, being featured in Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and The Knot. Who knew McDonald’s could be so chic? Read on to learn more!
This year, they’re at it again for Miami Swim Week with a collection focused on swim! From Happy Meal haute couture to French fry box cover ups, this unique McDCouture collection for both men and women will be featured tomorrow, July 20 at 1 p.m. It’s sure to be another viral sensation!
I can’t wait to see what these talented students have in store for us this Miami Swim. The best look will win a $5,000 scholarship. Love it! The looks from 2015 were so fashion forward so this year is sure to be no different. Be sure to stay tuned to see what these students will create.
