Some of my favorite bloggers and stylists have come together to give me their honest thoughts on skinny jeans for 2017 and we’re finally coming to a consensus. Read on to learn more and find out what these ladies have to say!
Mei Jorge from Blame It On Mei says skinny jeans are here to stay, with a few updates.
“Skinny jeans are definitely here to stay, especially with the new embroidered trend that we have been recently seeing. Florals and patches are a hot commodity and even a great DYI project for updating your favorite skinny piece. Don’t get me wrong though, flared jeans are doing a major comeback, and I am certainly not mad about it.”
Karyn Goddard thinks you have to find the right pair to make them work for you this 2017. Check out her blog, With Love From Miami now!
“Make sure they have some stretch and that they are good quality and that the fabric is cut right. You want them to fit well and flatter you in all the right places. Don’t confuse them for jeggings and be sure to avoid skinny jeans that gap at the waistband.”
While my girl Loreana from The Daily Bella says that if it were up to her, skinny jeans wouldn’t be going anywhere!
“If skinny jeans went out of style, I would have nothing to wear! My closet consists of 80% skinnies in all shades of black. Although I believe skinny jeans will remain a timeless staple in women’s closets, I do see a shift in pant shapes just like we did last year with sleeves. Flared (70s style) pants, wide legged pants, cropped pants and culottes were seen all over the runways for the coming season and although I am all up for trying these, my skinnies aren’t going anywhere!”
