There’s something changing in the beauty world, and it’s something that we haven’t seen in a long time. The unibrow is back in action! Yup, women are choosing to hold off on waxing, and instead are rocking their natural eyebrow hair. Actresses like Yara Shahidi, and Instagram models, Sophia Hadjipanteli and Scarlett Costello are all rocking their thick unibrows with confidence.

According to Scarlett, “I’m a big believer in the idea that everyone looks the best the way their genes intended them to. The confidence of embracing natural beauty is what makes it great.” She goes on to say, “unfortunately American culture values women based on how much men are attracted to them, rather than how smart, strong, and resilient we are.” Hear more of what the young model and activist has to say here.
So what do I think of these women? I think it’s fabulous! These women are embracing their natural selves instead of conforming to the sometimes harsh beauty standards that women have to face. They aren’t afraid to say “this is why I look like, deal with it.” It’s empowering to see this beauty trend take hold. It’s a movement that I definitely support. Don’t be afraid to be the real you, ladies!
