Getting a brand new business off the ground or starting at your first job can be pretty overwhelming, especially when everyone around you is using business jargon that you just aren’t sure you understand. Important Words to Know in Business
Strategy. Every good businessperson likes a good strategy and get used to hearing this term, a lot. Basically means mapping out the steps to reach a goal. And, is a key factor in a business finding success.
Forecast. Sure, you may hear that word on the news, when they are talking about the weather, but in business this word is the prediction of how much money a company will make and spend in the upcoming year. Business strategists love to play around with financial forecasts.
Marketing Plan. Another good one, every business works to establish a marketing plan. This plan becomes part of the strategy and the marketing budget is part of the forecast (see how it’s all connected?). Having a plan for your marketing team helps them know exactly how to spread the word about the business.
