10 Stress Cures

Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe a little anxious. Perhaps you have multiple issues that are affecting you at one time that it seems as though you are drowning in it all. You need to come up for air. You need an outlet to escape the overwhelming factors in your life. Stress is inevitable. If you are breathing, alive, and human, you will experience stress at some level throughout your life.

However, stress does not have to dictate your response to situations. Here are some great ways to get a grip on your stress and become a little more relaxed in the midst of the chaos.

1. Workout. Exercise will take your mind away for a while as well as assist in releasing frustration.

2. Go to the beach. The calming effect of the water will get you into a relaxed state of mind.

3. Enjoy a book. Getting lost into the lives of characters will take you from your own reality.

4. Get into your play list. Music soothes the soul. Let loose and dance.

5. Clean around the house. Turn your stress into a positive. Cleaning can become quite therapeutic.

6. Take a trip. Sometimes you just need to get away from it all.

7. Talk it through with a friend who is a great listener. Many times all it takes for you to de-stress and feel better is to let it all out.

8. Watch your favorite movie. Your mind will go directly to your happy place.

9. Get a nice message. Pamper yourself out of stress.

10. Indulge in a favorite treat. It is okay. Your mind will thank you.
