Christmas is a magical time of year bursting with love and laughter, but it can also bring a tinge of sadness when we remember those that didn’t make it this year. Christmas is the perfect time for reflection and setting intentions for 2019 based on where you want to be by this time next year. Read on to discover ten things to be thankful for this Christmas Day.
10 Things to Be Thankful for This Christmas Day
#1. All of your achievements.
Regardless of whether you fulfilled all of your 2018 goals or not, you made it through another year. Take a moment to recognize your achievements and reflect on what you need to do in the new year to be where you want to be by Christmas Day 2019.
#2. Family and friends.
Time is so precious. Enjoy every moment with your loved ones today, because tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us. Continue the rituals you enjoyed every year with those that didn’t make it to honor their memory, and take a moment to remember all of the magical moments and laughter you shared over the years.
#3. Timeout.
I’ll be the first to recognize I get cabin fever and want to get back to work after a few days, but it’s important to take a break from your business and put other things first for once. Time off is critical for spiritual maintenance.
#4. The Christmas energy.
Everyone makes a special effort to be kind to strangers during Christmas time, so it truly is an enchanting time of year.
#5. Mental motivation.
It’s almost the end of the year, which gives us the opportunity to close the chapters on anything negative we experienced this year. The lead up to the new year is an opportunity to set intentions and start a new chapter when the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve.
