20 Things to Start Doing Yourself for Yourself

I know I talk about self-love, going after the things you want often. It’s something that I find super important. I love seeing women who are empowered and comfortable in their own skin. That’s why I wanted to write this post. I wanted to bring you a list of things that you can start doing by yourself and for yourself. Your future self will thank you.   1. Spend time with the right people. Spend time with people who lift your spirits, the type people you want to be like.
  2. Live in the present moment. The present is here, it’s now and you should experience it.
  3. Be honest with yourself. You are the reason for everything in your life. Stop blaming other people.
  4. Be kinder to yourself. Be polite. Drown out the noise and listen to that voice of reason. We’ve all got one.
  5. Be grateful. Enjoy the things you have rather than desperately wanting the things you don’t have. Enjoy your friends and your family.
  6. Learn from your mistakes. Start valuing those lessons. You learn more from failure than you do from success.
  7. Be yourself. Let go of tension and feel free to be you.
  8. Make happiness a priority. You deserve happiness. Practice self-care. Do what you want to do.
  9. Give your dreams a chance, Go after those dreams, follow those ideas. God and the universe are on your side.
  10. Be ready, even if you aren’t. Give yourself some credit and take that next step
  11. Learn from the people around you. Listen and make note. Why do you surround yourself with certain people? What can you learn from them?
  12. Stop competing with others. Focus on yourself so you can compete with yourself.
  13. Celebrate the victories of others. Revel in their
  14. Celebrate your own victories. You deserve to celebrate yourself.
  15. Focus on the silver lining. Difficult situations are difficult, but you’ll come out a better person in the end.
  16. Forgive yourself. Your past self is in the past, you can’t change her. You can only forgive her and let her go.
  17. Forgive others. Feeling resentment towards others isn’t doing you any good. Forgive and let them go.
  18. Volunteer and help those around you. You have time to help others. You have time for your community.
  19. Notice the little things. There is beauty in everything. Be grateful for the amazing things in your life, small and large.
  20. Open your heart to others and yourself. You deserve love. You are lovable.
