Where’d You Go, Bernadette– Where’d You Go Bernadette is a hilarious, tale of a run away mother and a too-smart-for-her-own-good daughter. It’s told through first-hand accounts, letters, and email transcripts. It was a very popular read in 2013, but still a great one if you’re a fan of comedy, as comedy writer, Maria Semple, authored it.
Yes Please– Funny woman, business lady, and girl power advocate, Amy Poehler offers up some sage advice in this funny, honest account of her life. She is able to weave through the tougher moments of her life without giving too much away, yet still reveals insights into her life as an SNL cast mate, mother, and friend.
Paper Towns– Last summer the John Green novel turned movie The Fault In Our Stars made me weep until my eyes stung. John Green has done it again with the book version of this summer’s next teen classic movie, Paper Towns. The book has been around for a while, so if you want to get the scoop before the big screen version gets big, check it out.
The Power Playbook– My girl, La La, has done it again with the follow up of her first New York Times Best Seller called, The Power Playbook: Rules For Independence, Money, and Success.
