Did daylight saving time hit you a little harder than expected? Although the longer days are super exciting (a sign of spring temps to come!) the initial adjustment can be pretty tough. The first week following spring forward can make it tough to get out of bed in the morning and easy to stay up way too late. To get a good jump on the time change, take a look at these tips for saving time and waking with the sun.
5 Ways to Save Time During Spring Forward
- Get tomorrow’s breakfast smoothie ingredients prepared the night before. Cut up your fruits and veggies and throw them all in a plastic bag. Freeze overnight – whipping up this healthy breakfast before you run out the door couldn’t be quicker.
- Get to bed nice and early. It’s tempting to stay up much too late – your body is used to that extra hour, but you’ll feel it the next morning. Try reading a book in bed to help you fall asleep.
- If you’re feeling like making it to the gym before work is just too much – just give yourself about a half hour and try an early work-out at home. Try an exercise app or YouTube for heart-pumping routines perfect for your living room.
- Keep your makeup simple and natural. Go for tinted moisturizer, bronzer and a quick swipe of lengthening mascara.
- Skip the flat-iron or lengthy blow-dry sessions and go up-do this week. It’ll be a fun change of pace and will give you a few extra minutes in the morning.
